HOUSE GOOD VIEW XVII

I 2020

Designed to be the family's summer home, the project takes advantage of the view of the lake and the sunset. An entrance hall, highlighted by its ochre-orange color, juts out from the white volumes and unites them. Showing its function through its color, it forms a layout of two perpendicular rectangles. Also a circulation space, it immediately directs flows to the larger block, which is used for the social and intimate areas or, if preferred, the volume that houses the leisure spaces.

At the request of the clients, who wanted a space to display their large art collection, the largest pavilion is made up of a generous social area that embraces living and also the wishes of the residents, hosting paintings and sculptures. As you move towards the bedrooms, the environment then tapers off into a real gallery, private and with a second space for rest and contemplation.

In contrast to this open entrance to the landscape, with fully retractable frames, further back and more private, are the children's bedrooms which, in search of individuality, are divided into three distinct blocks, visually noticeable on the façade by a distance of one and a half meters from each other. These "vents", so to speak, generate not only an interesting movement of volumes, but also a more pleasant dynamic for accessing the rooms, offering a glimpse of the landscape as you go along.

Crowning these subtleties of openings and distances is a slab clad in wood and supported by metal pillars which, distancing it from the rest of the volumes, acquires its own lightness and movement through its independence from the whole and its bulging sides.
