CHAPEL
Imperceptible at first glance, this delicate chapel project is based on a negative volumetry. That is, a void in the floor which, under a roof, provides an intimate space, with a punctual light that gradually illuminates the space as a whole.
The ramp, as well as a promenade to reach the temple, also serves as a space of transition - both through the light, which potentially diminishes, and the "entering the earth" which, symbolically, can represent an entry into another state of mind. The light, in turn, mostly comes from a single opening and lands on the altar, giving focus to the small lake and the water coming down from the wall. As in a waterfall, nature is framed.
Above, the roof has a dual function as a large deck, meeting space and contemplation of the trees.
