JFL BUILDING

I 2023

Located on a stretch of Faria Lima, the JFL building was commissioned by a developer who invests in single-user rentals, idealizing buildings with a free floor plan to be occupied by any type of company.

Because of the strategic position and qualities of the land, the developer had not one, but two plots almost side by side, cut off only by a back lot. These two "cousin" buildings which, despite their differences in final form, followed the same logic of accommodation on the long plot. When they reach a height of ten meters, both are "leaned against" on their right and left sides, making room for the neighbor's plot of land which, having no buildings, becomes a garden between the two buildings.

In addition, at the same height, the volume comes off the pilotis, opening up space for an internal balcony and garden and creating a pleasant intermediate breathing zone between the rooms. On top of this, the building still has three floors, the top of which has double-height ceilings and a mezzanine which, like the rest of the building, also receives plenty of natural light with its floor-to-ceiling frames.
