FLORA BUILDING

I 2017

Located in Vila Ipojuca, an up-and-coming neighborhood next to Vila Madalena in São Paulo, this project was born out of the desire, despite its scale, to camouflage itself with its surroundings, inserting itself in a delicate way through materiality and shapes that dialogue with local references.

Composed of three different typologies, the type floor is built by a vertical circulation axis that separates, on one side, the two-bedroom apartment, entirely facing east, and, at the ends, two other mirrored units. These twins are characterized by a three-bedroom layout and a social area that relates to the two views - that of the end of the valley and, on the other side, the neighbourhood in its most horizontal portion - thus building cross-ventilation and lights present throughout the day.

Movable brises with a bluish tint juxtapose the clay of the brick and offer a dynamic façade that opens and closes continuously to suit the wishes of each resident.
